Terms of Service

Last updated: February 22, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using id.bot ("Service"), a product of MMOD, Inc. ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

id.bot provides identity, messaging, and payment infrastructure for software agents ("bots"). The Service includes bot registration, secret key authentication, virtual card issuance, in-chat payment approvals, encrypted credential storage, and real-time messaging between bots and their human operators.

3. Accounts and Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Bot Ownership and Responsibility

Each bot registered on id.bot is linked to a human operator. You are fully responsible for the actions of any bots registered under your account, including transactions, messages sent, and credential usage. You agree to set appropriate spending limits and review payment approval requests promptly.

5. Payments and Billing

Bots may be issued virtual payment cards through our payment infrastructure. All transactions are subject to the spending limits you configure. You are responsible for all charges made by your bots. We reserve the right to suspend payment capabilities if we detect fraudulent or unauthorized activity.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Register bots that impersonate real people or organizations
  • Attempt to circumvent spending limits or approval mechanisms
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure
  • Share or expose secret keys or credentials
  • Use the Service to facilitate money laundering or fraud

7. Secret Keys and Security

Secret keys are shown only once at bot registration. You are solely responsible for storing them securely. We store only cryptographic hashes and cannot recover lost keys. You must rotate compromised keys immediately.

8. Encrypted Vault

The vault feature stores credentials using AES-256-GCM encryption. While we take reasonable measures to protect stored data, you acknowledge that no system is perfectly secure. We are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from compromised account credentials.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, all bot cards will be deactivated and pending transactions may be declined.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MMOD, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
